The decision of the Railway administration in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, mode of selection and allotment of Division/Workshop etc. shall be final. No correspondences for engagement will be entertained. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature and no correspondence will be entertained in the matter. Before applying, the Applicants should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other criteria. If erroneously engaged, such Applicants shall be summarily dismissed without notice at any stage. Candidature of the Applicants shall be cancelled if he/she fails to produce the required original testimonials for verification or any other discrepancy noticed. The Railway administration do not undertake any responsibility for sending reply to the Applicants not selected or not called for. No daily allowance / conveyance allowance or travelling allowance will be paid to the Applicants called for Document Verification. After selection for engagement, request of Applicants to change the Trade/ Division / Workshop will not be entertained. They will be posted within the jurisdiction of the concerned Division/Workshop only. (i) Applicants will be trained only for the Trade in which they have been selected (ii) Applicants selected for training will not be allowed to withdraw from training except for reasons, which are beyond their control. (iii) Those who willfully absent themselves are liable to refund the whole cost of their training as well as the amount paid as stipend as determined by the Railway Administration.

  • Selection Procedure

Selection of the eligible Applicants for imparting training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 will be based on the merit list which would be prepared taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the Applicants in both Matriculation [with minimum50%(aggregate)marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both. 6.2 In case of two Applicants ·having the same marks; the Applicants having older age shall be preferred. In case the dates of birth are also same, then the· Applicants who passed matriculation exam earlier shall be considered first. There will be no written test or viva. 6.3 Applicants need not send any copies of application/ certificates/documents to RRC/WR by post but have to upload the same online. 6.4 Calculation of marks: a. For the purpose of calculation of percentage of SSC / Matriculation marks, Total Marks of all Subjects (Not best of Five Total) as mentioned in the Marksheet /CGPA obtained by the Applicants which is to be duly entered by the applicant in the online application will be reckoned and not on the basis of marks of any subject or any group of subjects such as best of five. b. For the purpose of calculation of percentage of ITI marks, average marks mentioned in consolidated statement of marks for all semesters of the trade applied i.e. Marks mentioned in the Provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVTISCVT, which is to be duly entered by the applicant in the online application will only be reckoned. c. The applicant should note that in case any discrepancy in the Marks/CGPA entered in the online application and the Original Marksheet / Certificate, is found at the time of Document Verification, the candidature of the Applicants will be rejected summarily. 6.5 The Trade-wise/ Community-wise Merit List will be issued by the concerned Division/Units for their Notified slots. Applicants will be called by the concerned Division/Units as per the Merit in the relevant trade considering the Divisions/ Workshop opted by the candidate. In case of any shortfall in any particular trade in any given Division/Workshop, Western Railway reserves the right to Re-distribute the candidates to other Divisions/Workshops.

6.6 Final selection of Applicants would be subject to verification of original testimonials and on being found fit inappropriate Medical examination conducted by the concerned Divisions/Workshops.6.7 Candidates in the Stand- by list will be issued Call Letters only on receipt of details of absentees, medically unfit and rejected candidates from the Merit list allotted to the concerned Divisions /Workshop. The Call letters will be issued strictly in the order of Merit.6.8 The Tentative Schedule will be as under and Applicants are advised to be in readiness at short notice to report to the allotted Divisions & Workshops for Document / Certificate Verification.

How to Apply

Applicants are required to upload the legible self attested scanned copy of following documents:- SSC (Standard 10th) or its equivalent Mark Sheet. Consolidated ITI mark sheetof all semesters of the trade in which applied / Provisional National Trade Certificate indicating marks. National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT or Provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT /SCVT. 9.4 Applicants are required to upload Scanned copy/ soft copy of their colour photograph (size 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm ) taken not later than three months from the date of application, JPG/JPEG format, 100 DPI, size of the file should be between 20 kb-70 kb) with clear front view of the Applicants without cap and sunglasses. Applicants may note that RRC may, at any stage, reject the applications for uploading old/unclear photograph or for any significant variations between photograph uploaded in the Application Form and the actual Physical appearance of the Applicants. Applicants are advised to keep two additional copies of the same photograph ready with them and carry the same at the time of Document /Certificate Verification. 9.5 Applicants are also required to upload the Scanned copy / soft copy their signature (size 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm, JPG/JPEG format, 100 DPI, size of the file should be between 20 kb – 30kb). NOTE:- 1. Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi should be accompanied by an attested copy of translation in English / Hindi. 2. Production of Originals of all documents along with 1 self attested photocopies of all documents and two latest photographs on the day of Document Verification in the Concerned Division/Workshop is mandatory.Declaration of Merit List 13/02/2020 document / Certificate Verification / Scrutiny by the Divisions to be completed and declaration of a list of selected Applicants: 28/02/2020 onwards of commencement of Training: 01/04/2020 onwards , Closing Date and Time 06/02/2020 @ 17.00 hrs.
